Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or higher in NURS 1014 or a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Louisiana. This course is designed to provide a comprehensive look at the professional nursing role in today's healthcare system. The course examines concepts that are essential to the development of the professional nurse as well as issues related to professional nursing practice and the delivery of safe patient-centered care.
