An examination of social development as it occurs in children from birth through eight years of age. The student will become familiar with the development of social knowledge, attachment, self-identity, self-steem, separation and individuation, interpersonal communication processes, moral reasoning, temperament, and activities that promote prosocial behaviors that enhance the social and emotional development of young children.
